This proposal is to repair the existing pond. We propose to keep the existing design with the two different levels between the upper and lower ponds, and repairing the waterfall feature. We believe the original design offers more serenity and is more aesthetically inviting than one large pond will be.
As we understand the main problem with the existing is that water simply leeches through the waterfall between the upper and lower pond, thus making it difficult to maintain the correct level for upper pond. We believe this can be corrected by using a pond liner up and over the falls to keep water from leaking between the two areas, and those preserve the beauty of the original design.
