One-Unit Fire in Richardson
A fire was started by an unlicensed plumber who the homeowner had hired to replace an outside leaky faucet, causing structural damage to portions of the wooden wall and floor framing. The damage required that portions of the wall and floor framing be removed and replaced. However, in order to complete these repairs, we had to temporarily shore the roof framing and remove some second-floor framing that did not sustain structural damage.
Since the complex was built in the 80’s, we had to meet several upgrade requirements during the reconstruction. The window sill height was raised for child safety and the windows and exterior sliding doors required better energy efficiency. Everything else was restored to its original condition.
